Cwmbran, 5th August 2015; SIPHON Networks Ltd (SIPHON), a leading Unified Communications Solutions Provider, today announced that it has extended its existing provisioning server solution to address the requirements of Microsoft Lync/SfB service providers and resellers.

The solution augments the existing capabilities of the SIPHON provisioning server, which has been in place for some time supporting the deployment of customer premise equipment (CPE) for many of the large Cloud Telephony providers in the UK. The latest enhancements to the server capabilities are based on a pre-configuration and template provisioning service for end points, which enables resellers to simplify CPE deployment within Microsoft UC environments. The provisioning service allows a fully customised provisioning profile to be assigned to devices supplied by SIPHON. It also enables firmware upgrades to be applied, thereby ensuring that the end points delivered to site are ready for service. In addition, SIPHON can offer a range of customised provisioning templates deployed within an on-premise provisioning server, giving resellers yet another option to simplify deployment within Microsoft UC environments.

“Cloud Telephony service providers and resellers have been making use of this provisioning service from SIPHON for several years, so it was a natural progression for us to apply this knowledge and experience to our Microsoft UC practice, where the pre-provisioning of end points to support cost effective deployments is equally important,” said Ciaran Bolger, Sales Director, SIPHON. “We already pre-provision up to twenty thousand end points every month. The enhanced server capability means that we can now provide this as a service to all Microsoft partners who buy their end points from SIPHON.”

“SIPHON has always taken a very technology-driven, yet solution-centric, view on the services we provide to our partners and the key stage for successful Microsoft UC deployments often lies in the pre-deployment phase,” added Giuseppe Fragale who runs the SIPHON Microsoft UC Technology Practice. Fragale continued: “We now offer significant support to our partners across the board, which includes a wide range of Microsoft UC end-points, all associated pre-provisioning and configuration services plus white-labelled consultancy and professional services.”
